These images were captured by a camera on Curiosity, and reveal the bizarre finger-like structure protruding from the Martian surface and casting a shadow on to the rock below.

Science buffs have suggested the small, shiny-looking object, which makes for an incongruous sight amid the rocks, could be composed of material less susceptible to erosion than its surroundings.

Appears manufactured.

Is there an outline beneath the dirt?

Bet ya NASA ignore's any inquiry's into this. They will probibly just drive right on by this acting like nothing was there. I've been pretty frustrated with NASA for years now. We have seen many things that make it out to the public on for them to laugh about it and make up some excuse to cover there butt's. Have you ever tried to watch there live feed from the station, not the regular Nasa TV station but he feed outside the station. It get's cut off all the time, only to say that the signal is lost and can't pick it up for sometimes hours. That is a bunch of s*%t. I'm sure that they lose signal for hours to the space station.
