Charlie is roughly nine to ten years old.
1096
He was sort of a rescue kitty. Guessing he was four months old, he showed up at someone's house in farmland. She thought someone put him out of car at a nearby stop-sign, or he had wandered to her place from one of many farms in the area. Her husband was a trucker and would not allow Charlie in their house when home. Think it was prior to Halloween of whatever year it was, she talked me into taking him. Her nearest neighbor was a sixteenth to and eighth of a mile away, so anyone's guess how Charlie got there. He hates car rides, so that dropped off from a car is a possibility.
The past nine to ten years, he has lived as a window kitty and does not wander outside. If carried outside, he freaks-out. If he decides to jump in my bed at night, he insists on laying on my left side - perhaps to hear and feel my heartbeat. Also, has to have the door on the left as well. He is a tad overweight. The photo is a few years old.

Here's my buddy, Kishen. May he rest in peace:

Kishen was a Manx, they have little or no tail. Because he had no tail, he developed colon issues at seven years old. Now I'm feeling sad again... I'll post a few of Archie to cheer me up, once he sits still long enough.

Norenrad,
Kitty was so-cute...
Kishen was a very good looking cat.
I liked the story of how you got Charlie, Casper. We had one wander in a while back. At first we thought it was lost and tried to chase it home...but it would come back at night. Eventually we gave up trying to chase the cat away and gave it a name: Freddie. Well, Freddy had kittens a while after that so we figured her formal name was Frederica. We still have her and one son, Cutie.
1097 Cutie is on the top and Freddy is in the middle. If they look like fun, they are!

Nice pictures guys. Here's one of Archie, I think I caught what he's all about in this picture. Archie is smaller than Kishen was, but Kishen was unusually big.

Norenrad and Doc,
Great photos. From time to time, I read and or hear about cats selecting people. Doc, sounds like that happened with your family.
Often in photos and videos it appears as if dogs and cats know what a camera is, and act accordingly when they feel like it.

It has felt like Freddy picked us. She was very standoffish for about a year but she would come closer and closer and one day she just followed us inside. Now, she is family.
