Biologists should take this as a challenge and prove the claim one way or the other. If the claim is as I believe it to be, it directly gets to the claim of alien contact. Given the almost certain validity of alien contact in prehistory this would have to rate as one of the most important questions we need to provide validation of, sooner rather than later.
