Seventeen confirmed mysterious cellphone towers, many located near military bases, have been discovered. Ownership is unknown, as is their purpose. Service near these towers is blocked for 4G and 3G service, forcing phone to go to 2G. Could these towers be designed to block possible terrorist use of cell phone initiated bombings near military instilations, or similar uses by terrorist operatives?
