When will NASA, ESA, or any other government space agency finally put orbiters around either Uranus or Neptune? Sure we had the Voyager mission, but that was over 20 years and was launched in the late 70s. Today's technology is much more advanced and the scientific knowledge we could learn would be far greater.

As you can see the issue has been placed on the agenda, the programs to actually put spacecrafts into orbit to study Uranus and Neptune will have to assume their place in line to meet the policy guidelines of the science community and their government sponsors. Mars will take precedence because of the probability of proving that life was, and most likely is to be found there. The moons of Jupiter and Saturn will take precedence because they may also help answer the questions about the place of life in the natural evolution of life. This may be so that it may allow the government to discover reason to reassess for disclosure that UFOs are indeed alien craft and that that life has found us. URANUS and Neptune will eventually have their own orbiters like the Cassini mission to Saturn, it is hard to wait I admit, but we are but pawns in a history that is greater than ourselves.

From space.com

So at least they are considering it.
