People have mocked the Irish company Steorn for its rubbish live demos but unlike randy mills Blacklight company they have actually produced something you can buy...

A mobile phone that NEVER needs to be charged? Now that really WOULD be a revolution – and believe it or not apparently such a phone exists. Last night the image below was posted on social media by Steorn CEO Shaun McCarthy. This new device which has yet to be launched is called the oPhone (Orbo Phone), as it contains the Orbo powerpack inside which is alleged to continually replenish the battery without the need to connect it to mains power.

The Orbo powerpack inside is not powered by any conventional means such as solar or by capturing kinetic energy, nor does it harvest energy from radio frequencies but is based on Steorn’s patented technology which has been developed over the last twelve years. The technology is thought by many to be able to harness the zero-point energy field (evidenced by the casimir effect)...

Steorn have now produced an USB charger which has no external power supply!
What i find reassuring about them is that as opposed to just about all the people how have claimed to have cracked free energy, cold fusion, these guys are selling it.
It's the ultimate test, people buy it and it works or they get completely slated and the company collapses. Scientific proofs depend on trusting the science and the scientists doing the checking, very hard if you can't follow it, or do the experiment yourself.

Respect for this the Ocube

I've been keeping an eye on Steorn too, it really does seem that they might have something and the fact that they are selling the devices should provide proof of principle. On their site they promise a "never charge" E-cig and even a games controller in the very near future. - http://orbo.com/

I did notice a problem with financial viability though. Steorn are charging 1200 euros (£934 or $1,337) for the Ocube and 450 euros (£350 or $501) for the Ophone. At first glance this seems a little high and the question that springs to mind is, how much does cost to charge a smartphone? The answer is actually quite surprising.

http://metro.co.uk/2016/01/19/this-is-how-much-it-really-costs-to-charge-up-your-smartphone-every-day-5631997/

According to the article above, the average cost to charge a smartphone for one year is 28 pence (0.36 euros or 40 cents?) Again that is per year! Steorn are willing to offer a one year warranty on their Ocube, but considering the above info and even at £1.00 per year it would take over 900 years for the Ocube and 350 for the Ophone before you got your money back.....

On the other hand, if the Ocube or Ophone lasts for one year without any external power source, then Steorn will have proved that they have discovered a new form of energy production.

They seem to be having a few problems with the phones and chargers but all credit to them have put up this video explaining all.
The problems don't seem to be the orbo cell but other components
