I only wish Rabbi Gelberman had lived to see this documentary about Mt. Sinai...
It is fascinating ...
(the opening music notwithstanding :)...

I find this presentation to be far more credible and consistent with Torah than viewing St. Catherine's Monastery as the original site of Mt. Sinai...

The Bible clearly describes Mt. Sinai as lying far beyond Egypt. This discovery is especially noteworthy since Exodus clearly states that Moses and the Hebrews got to the holy mountain only AFTER crossing the Red Sea...
and no "U Turn" (backtracking) is described.

Great footage and geological analysis of the "hydro fracking" of the sacred rock...
with remarkable insights rendered through geology.

Very interesting, I thought we already knew where Mt. Sinai was, I guess I haven't been paying that much attention. Seeing the sites that they recorded makes perfect sense, let's hope we aren't being hosed.
