A Few Prayers, Why Not?

Rate this Entry
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you Christ, will revive me: you shall stretch forth your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand shall save me.

I have set the Lord Christ always before me: because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and He shall thrust out the enemy from before you.

As I arise today, may the strength of God pilot me, the power of God uphold me, the wisdom of God guide me. May the eye of God look before me, the ear of God hear me, the word of God speak for me. May the hand of God protect me, the way of God lie before me, the shield of God defend me, the host of God save me. May Christ shield me today...Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left, Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit, Christ when I stand, Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me, Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me, Christ in every eye that sees me, Christ in every ear that hears me. Thank you, Christ.

Christ before me
Christ within me
Christ above me
Christ below me
Christ behind me
Christ to the right of me
Christ to the left of me

May the light of Christ permeate and saturate all members of The Outpost Forum so that the power of Christ shields against all evil and gives protection in the everlasting love of Jesus Christ. Thank you, Jesus Christ.

Ha, I wish I could write that well. I stole parts from some Bible searches, mostly from Psalms. Someone just brought it to my attention that the 'Christ before me, Christ Above me, beneath me' bit is taken from a prayer of St. Patrick. So just the right time for the lucky energy of the Irish to slip in here just after St. Paddy's Day. Was my pleasure to share.

I'm in a good mood now because I just had a good synchronicity. My cell phone has been sitting here beside me inactive all night and just rang a couple minutes ago. I had never seen this number before. The guy answered and said 'Hey, it's Pat.' I said 'Who?' He said that I just called him (I did not) and he just pulled over to hit redial and called me back. We both laughed and said that's strange. Well have a good day then lol.

So the association of Pat with Christ, and him synchronistically calling me for no reason is a good omen for me. He sounded really friendly. I guess Pat/Christ has my back then?

Lol that's hilarious. I checked my phone and it shows I didn't dial Pat's number. It's funny because I prayed to Christ 'through' St. Patrick so to speak by his prayer, and some mysterious force makes it so that my phone calls a guy named Pat who calls me back. Good to know I gots the lord on my side.

If anyone's in doubt about praying to Christ, well there's proof right there. He answers your calls lol.
