Interesting use of the Mandolin. Gives it kind of a different flavor

Nice version of "Sounds of Silence" by Pentatonix. Had not heard it yet.
    .
Kudos to Paul Simon for writing such a timeless classic folk song (ranks up with Bridge Over Troubled Waters). I prefer the harmonies of the S&G version, with simple guitar strumming.
    .
BUT, the DISTURBED version has it merits as well, with a good voice, accompanied by a great orchestra, the crescendos are amazing.

    Thanks for sharing.

    I'm a Believer - The Monkees.

    RIP Peter Tork.
Hard to believe that Jimmy Hendrix (early in his career) was their backup band.
Legend has it at one venue, Jimmy was actually booed off stage by fans anxious to see The Monkeys.

I enjoy looking back at the origins of Vintage popular songs.
We are lucky some of these public performance videos have not been lost forever, over the years.
In these fun examples; instrumental versions of Surf Music.

    .
    The Tornados - Telstar

    .
    The Shadows - Apache (1964)

    .
The Chantay's - Pipeline (Lawrence Welk Show 5/18/63)
