Nice that you have broad horizons.
Believe I once heard a Psychologist say that people are imprinted by the music they are exposed to about age 14.
Stays with them as a "musical taste" the rest of their life.
I have no regrets that The Stones, Led Zep, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, ELP, Moody Blues, and other classic bands were raging when I was 14.
Never developed a taste for Disco, Rap/Hip Hop.
I do like some newer rock tunes, but I find them to be few and far between.
Good for you that you can enjoy a wider musical range than most.

    While we're at it...

One of my favorite songs by The Who, and the unofficial anthem for ufologists...

I always question what psychologist say. Don't get me wrong, for instance I'm very interested in "ranspersonal psychology" at the mo but honestly I find they are not much further along than witch dr., and I do have much respect for shaman... Mmm maybe a little more than psychologist.

I'm age contemporary with you and don't feel at all constrained, as a matter of fact I find I am really getting quite tired of "classic rock."

That being said, here's something old yet in a new arrangement. I've posted other stuff from The Orchestra of Unmitigated Gaul, Kirk Elliott album "Widdershin," not sure if I posted this one or not.

Delamere is from the UK, released ten song album in August 2016. In March 2015, the band released a three song EP, and in April 2016 a single. I bought the EP and single. The new album has a mixture of prior and new songs. I plan to add new songs my music library. It has taken years for me to accept "digital downloads" instead of CDs. However, now enjoying my adjustment. Thumb-drive used for stereo inside of the pick-up truck has hours of music on it. No CDs cluttering the truck, I insert the thumb-drive and finger through whatever fits the mood.

September 20th 1973, Jim Croce passed away. 43 years ago - today.

Memories, I was a teenager behind the wheel. Croce in 8 track stereo - "Moving me down the highway".

Jim was one of the great Ballad singers, taken from us way too early.

My quest new and decent music continues!

Havelin is Alex Zaichkowski a Canadian actor and musician. September 2016, he released a five song EP, "Alright, Alright, Okay". Song titles: Closing Time - Alright, Alright - Medicine - Coffee - Work Off My Hurt. His songs are melodic, relaxing and good background music. All five songs are posted as audio versions at Havelin's youtube channel.

Simple Minds is releasing an Acoustic Album on November, 2016.
Here is a sample of what to expect:

    CD & Digital Album Tracklist

    01 The American
    02 Promised You A Miracle
    03 Glittering Prize
    04 See The Lights
    05 New Gold Dream (81-82-83-84)
    06 Someone Somewhere In Summertime
    07 Waterfront
    08 Sanctify Yourself
    09 Chelsea Girl
    10 Alive And Kicking
11 Don’t You (Forget About Me)
    12 Long Black Train

Heavyweight Vinyl with Exclusive Extra Tracks

    13 Stand By Love
14 Speed Your Love To Me
    15 Light Travels

Over the decades, Simple Minds has produced great music. Revisiting their classics with alterations like acoustic versions is a good concept. Original "Promised You A Miracle" was good. Updating the song has brought a new mood and sound to the song. I am hopeful their Acoustic Album will "deliver the goods"...

    Simple Minds?
Seems like yesterday, "The Breakfast Club" was a 1980's hit movie.
