A little late on both counts but here's to two great losses to human kind this year, Stephen Hawking and Composer Jóhann Jóhannsson who wrote the score for "The Theory Of Everything" and "Arrival" to name a couple + pop, jazz albums a great talent.

    A Theory Of everything

    Jóhann Jóhannsson- Hótel Borg

Intelligent and humorously good fun, too.

Why is it that Jewish Rap seems to be the only rap that is intelligent enough to like?
And why is it that this is humorously good fun, too? Thanks

This stuff goes back a long way for me, Loved, still do love Japanese period movies.

    Traditional Japanese music - Honnō-ji

Here's one that may be more palatable to western taste.

Kill Bill/Cotton Mouth v Black Mamba fight - Santa Esmerelda - Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood.

Never in a million years would I have laid down this sound track to that scene... and yet it works.

    Matterrs: Obstacle
(Lyrics are posted at youtube by using the "show more" feature)

Musically and lyrically layered, Matterrs transports the listener on a journey of self-reflection.
Obstacle speaks to emotions and considerations that everyone experiences.
