I don't need to encourage my rock music buddies here, because they keep me in interesting stuff all the time.
All rock and even today's wincy pop music got its root chords from Beethoven's 5th.
Most don't understand that or care. Growing up on head-banking hard rock, i didn't either.
Beethoven got his schooling from Bach's mathematical exploration of music via his choirmaster's chores as organist.
Beethoven found much to be inspired by and tutorial lessons in Mozart.

R.I.P. Charlie Daniels - 83.

I was never much of a County & Western fan, but this band had raw musical talent coupled with some hilarious ballad lyrics, in a number of songs.
Makes me smile every time I hear their work. The Devil may have come down to Georgia, but I'm sure there is a spot up above tonight for that good ole boy, Charlie Daniels.
