My recollection of The Clues was that he/they made a point of not being part of the old crowd or known names. I always got a sense that it was a European thing and if there was indeed a group, they were not anyone we knew or ever heard of before.
Thanks for the replies to my question on The Clues. They came to my mind as soon as I read the first post about the Disclosure Lite. I know The Admins at OMF had received some information from The Clues that was never placed on the forum. The Clues also reported on a Russian angle/Russian asset and with the mention of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev's remarks from December last year moved me in a direction of wondering if they (or some of the T.C. group) may be behind it in some form. I wouldn't look for them to verify it even if it was true and that's the only way I guess we will ever know.
I am glad you thought of it and suggested it. That is a good theory look for supporting evidence about and to keep in mind as things develop. What do you remember about The Clues mention of a Russian angle or asset? It doesn't ring any bells with me at all.
From the very first information received from "The Clues" you can see they mention the Soviets involved with Americans in establishing a colony on Mars. I will lay out some information where the Soviets/Russians are mentioned. First off something to consider about the information being released from them.

Thanks for the memory refresher, ScaRZ. I went back and read the very first paragraphs of the TC releases where the author sets the stage with a dying old spy, secret journal, unruly grandson, and topped off with an omniscient, all-too-convenient narrator to make sure we knew what to think about it all. We had been trying to track down the source of the TC or Seinu disclosures without too much success although by the time we published anything, I had some ideas about the source that one person among us at least shared. At this time Serpo was in full swing and the people who decided that they were going to take down Serpo were hard at it. By the end of that year I would be convinced that the PtB had put resources and personnel in the field to kill Serpo but at that early date I was just skeptical of the TC material. I thought we were being set up to look foolish or being tested by some person or persons to see how gullible and how honest we were. I felt that if we had put out any public endorsement at all in The Clues releases, someone was going to jump out of a cake blowing a horn and yelling, "Surprise!"
Additionally, the communication from him (or them) was limited to just two of the old staff (neither of whom is with us here today). The attempts we made to continue contact with him (or them) was done to try and discover who he (or they) was (or were) as we were highly skeptical as to the veracity of the story.
I always felt as though it was an attempt to distract from Serpo and to test our credibility - and he (they) failed on both counts.
I never thought it was more than one person. It always seemed to be the same voice even when the narration shifted to another individual. I thought the writer of The Clues was very familiar with the literature. In the section ScaRZ reposted, TC mentions all three of the then current "we've been there" stories. The Serpo story of twelve Serponauts going to another planet, the alternate story that it was only three (or two or four) from the US and the version that said a small group of Russians went later. A casual reader would not have known so much detail, I don't think. The TC approach always felt too slick (like some of the too slick people we knew back then) too polished and very much agenda-driven. TC began to undermine the credibility of the Serpo Releases immediately with criticisms that were already out there and not of much substance at that early stage, such as the profit motive among the principals such as Bill Ryan and Victor Martinez. Add to that TC's insistence that we publish his stuff right away and some of us were seeing red flags all over the place.
So ScaRZ, the long and short of it is, if TC was involved in Disclosure Lite, I for one would be saying so right up front because I doubt I would want to have anything to do with it.
I don't know if this will make anyone happy, or not, and i very much doubt that anyone here will want to give it any credence:
