    Man Claims He Spotted Florida’s Elusive Skunk Ape

    SARASOTA COUNTY (CBSMiami) – A Florida man has come forward with video on YouTube claiming he has spotted the rare and elusive Skunk Ape on camera.
    Mike Falconer posted his video and still pictures on YouTube. He claims the video and pictures were taken March 2nd, 2013 in the Myakka River State Park in Sarasota County.
    The video from his iPhone 4S is grainy and the creature is very far away but he said he and his son spotted large hairy creature and quickly began pursuing it across a large field.

    Wonder if an ape escape a zoo, circus, private collector or whatever... Ape could have been living in the wilds of Florida for decades. Life span apes are 35 to 40 years, some are known to make into their mid-to late 50s. Is it a hoax or real?

    Though they are leaning towards it being a hoax.
