You cannot stop technology and the spying with technology has been going on one way or another since WWll.

Yes, it has evolved way beyond Orwellian predictions and has escalated during the Bush administration but the Clintons were notorious in the use of this kind of technology. Now with Obama, spying on citizens is totally out of control. You need to look no farther than J. Edgar Hoover to see government abuses of the past.

A lot of this spying was done by intelligence agencies via private sector assets to work around the ‘Posse Comitatus Act’ but the Obama administration and the DOJ under Holder could care less about what the public thinks on using this type of technology to spy on US citizens on US soil.

Not too much you can do about this monster except watch it grow.

You can step up your private security measures. There are some options, grim as the situation is. I used to keep up with those things but as firewalls and antivirus apps got better and automatic, I slacked off. It might be time to see what those more clever than I are up to.

The HKSAR Government today (June 23) issued the following statement on Mr Edward Snowden:

Mr Edward Snowden left Hong Kong today (June 23) on his own accord for a third country through a lawful and normal channel.

The Hong Kong government said in a statement that Snowden had departed "on his own accord for a third country through a lawful and normal channel".

The 30-year-old left from Chep Lap Kok airport on a flight scheduled for 10.55am. He boarded Aeroflot Flight SU213, which is due to land at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport at 5.15pm local time (8.15pm Hong Kong time).

"Snowden left Hong Kong on his own will," a government source told the Post, adding that the Hong Kong government had not provided Snowden with any assistance or protection during his whole stay. The source dispelled media claims that the government had provided him a "safe house".

Final destination is reported to be Havana. Apparently Snowden is not aware that the CIA has secret operations going on in Cuba: should we start a pool on his "going away for good"?

Maybe he never heard of Gitmo?

I am starting to think that they are so inept that this guy could have a layover at JFK Intl, drive to Times Square for a hotdog, and the first they'd know about would be when they read it on the internet.

Non major news sources were on top of his movements before major media outlets.

It would be interesting to see Snowden and Julian Assange (who at one point threatened to release massive USG UFO files) and a few other recent Whistle Blowers hook up and blow the lid of the core story and disclose some verifiable facts about Ets activities.

    LOOK AT THIS...!

Snowden on the run, seeks asylum in Ecuador

Moscow (CNN) -- The man who leaked details of U.S. government surveillance programs was on the run late Sunday, seeking asylum in Ecuador with the aid of the anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks, the organization and Ecuador's Foreign Ministry announced.

Edward Snowden, the onetime contract analyst for the National Security Agency, left Hong Kong after the U.S. government sought his extradition on espionage charges, WikiLeaks said. He landed in Moscow, where a CNN crew spotted a car with diplomatic plates and an Ecuadorian flag at the Russian capital's international airport.

WikiLeaks, which facilitates the publication of classified information, did not disclose what country would be Snowden's final destination. But Ecuador has already given WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange refuge in its embassy in London for nearly a year after he unsuccessfully fought extradition to Sweden in British courts.

Talk about ineptness, Snowden is a high school dropout who passed over the brightest talent in their field to get his job which lasted about 3 months in which the NSA gives this guy the most sensitive top secret classified info of the nation which supposedly could be Superpower game changers in the intelligence arena, so is Snowden a super genius… is our country so stupid…might there be something else going on?
