Glen Campbell passes away at 81.

"It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and legendary singer and guitarist, Glen Travis Campbell, at the age of 81, following his long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease," the singer's family said in a statement.

Legendary Comedian and Civil Rights Activist Dick Gregory Has Died at 84

It's ironic that he died during a time when our country has been turned upside down by an event in Charlottesville that turned back the clock, at least momentarily, on civil rights and equality for all regardless of their race, ethnicity and religion. Dick Gregory, a very, very good man and decent human being. R.I.P.
