Dr. Edgar Mitchell, the 6th man to walk on the moon, passed away last night. An outspoken advocate for UFO research and past contact with alien life. Sure will miss him. R.I.P. Dr. Mitchell.

NBC Nightly news mentioned the passing of Astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell this evening, February 5, 2016, at the end of the piece mentions that "in later years, Mitchell created controversy when he said that he believed in UFOs and that the government was covering up proof that aliens had visited Earth..." Now that is quite an admission of the greater truth by the MSM that rarely happens.

It's often been said that the astronauts who walked on the moon, returned changed men.

I actually called a few local television stations, prodded them about Dr Mitchell's passing.
But saw no response to my "suggested news story".
Perhaps his aggressive views on UFOs have branded him a pariah with most MSM.
He will always be an American Hero in my book.
R.I.P. Dr. Edgar Mitchell, and thank you for taking a stand.

EDITED POST: the news that Bob Dean had passed away was NOT TRUE.

    From Richard Dolan:

Very happy to report that Bob Dean is indeed alive. I just spoke with Marcia Schafer, who told me that he is fine, and that perhaps the rumor started with someone confusing him with Edgar Mitchell. We don't know. However, I want to apologize to everyone for spreading news before it was confirmed. That is my mistake and it will not happen again. Glad to have you with us, still, Bob!

Keith Emerson ~ Keyboard player for 1970's band; Emerson Lake & Palmer
    1944-2016

    Tough one for me.
Keith was one of my childhood's personal heroes.
He inspired me (with the ELP inaugural "Dove" album tunes. The Moog on Lucky Man & the Piano work on "Take a Pebble") to take up keyboards/piano at a young age.
Piano, Hammond Organ, Moog Synth, he was one of the very best keyboard players & Composers of the 70's era.
His on stage theatrical antics were amusing, but his towering technical prowess was always the root of my admiration.

He did have medical issues a few years ago. But at this point we can only speculate on the motivation for his apparent suicide.

David Bowie, Glenn Fry, and now Keith Emerson.
So far, 2016 is a tough year for rock legends.

    R.I.P. Keith Emerson

One hell of a band gathering up there. Wow. Can't wait to hear them some day. This one hit me hard too. I loved ELP. Man, what a band.
