Once again Algire is talking cr-p.

He wants to link the Supreme Court to the Freemasons by linking it to Roman and Greek building styles, and seems to be completely oblivious to the fact that the Masonic teachings have far more to do with gnosticism and Egypt than with Rome and Greece.

The Supreme Court, which was built between 1929 and 1935 only, is built in a neoclassical style to fit with the rest of the building on Capitol Hill.

Most of the government buildings on Capitol Hill were built in that neoclassical style because it was the style that was used at the time.
Add to that the fact that the idea of a democratic republic based on the Roman model was an inspiration for the US.
So, using that style was the thing to do at the time, and fit with their views on top of it. That is where that comes from.

In other words, the actual building style of the Supreme Court has nothing to do with the Freemasons.

The whole layout of Washington DC itself on the other hand in all likelihood was Masonic in nature, but uses Egyptian patterns, not Roman or Greek.
An opinion should be the result of thought, not a substitute for it.

Don't really know Algire's motivations in regard to the build's architecture, but I was taught in a real civics class the import and powers of the Supreme Court.

Thanks for the the Roman vs Egyptian styles differences, Didn't ever think of that.

Luckily we do have three co-equal branches of our Government, which so far has served us well.

The Supreme Court is the highest tribunal in the nation for all cases and controversies arising under the Constitution or the laws of the United States. The Court stands as the final arbiter of the law and guardian of constitutional liberties. Its charge, emblazoned over the doors of this building, is to ensure "Equal Justice Under Law."

The Supreme Court is "distinctly American in concept and function," as Chief Justice Charles Evans Hughes observed. Few other courts in the world have the same authority of constitutional interpretation and none have exercised it for as long or with as much influence.

This building, majestic in size and rich in ornamentation, serves as both home to the Court and the manifest symbol of its importance as a coequal, independent branch of government.

Moses appears on the Supreme Court building's east side holding tablets in a pediment designed by Cass Gilbert and Hermon MacNeil in 1932-34.

What Jeff Bezos Resignation as Amazon CEO is Really About

Jeff Bezos shocks the world by resigning his position as CEO at Amazon.com, most people think he's retiring. He's doing no such thing. Instead, he's looking to amass even more power by becoming a latterday "railroad baron" by cornering the market on commercial satellite delivery.
