    Astronaut Photography of Earth: UFO

    Image from NASA Website:

The Gateway to Astronaut Photography of Earth

No where on the website is there information as to what this object is. The lack of comment
makes me much more interested in this image. You can download a larger image file.

But it IS a lensflare. Look at the image in full resolution. Without using photoshopping techniques to pull up the image from the background, it can barely be seen. It has no form and no shadowing. Using the Earth as a reference the Sun angle can be determined. Draw a straight line up to where the sun would be. Draw a line down to this artifact and it is perpendicular to the line one would draw. It IS a lens flare but very minimal and only seen because the image was enhanced to bring it out.

I have a witness who says it was on live stream multiple times.

    Maybe this example is helpful:

You will not only see lens flare, but also refracted light, which causes a rainbow with the color red on the side of the light source (the same situation as in the posted photo).

Mmm, yes, very curious, very interesting...
