The Black Vault effort to obtain Historical FBI Employee Newsletters

Can you help? This is an important piece of history, and we need to come together to preserve it!

The Black Vault plans to get and post electronic copies of The Investigator, the FBI internal, employees only publication of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The Investigator was published internally at the FBI from May 1932 for several decades. Its release will provide valuable historical insights into the history of the Bureau, the Department of Justice, and the 20th Century.

The FBI says there are approximately 50,890 pages of records, and would put them on 102 CD-ROM disks for a charge of 1525 dollars.

While the electronic file would easily fit on fewer disks, the FBI policy has been to put a maximum of 500 pages on a disk, claiming that this promotes sound administrative processing practices, despite the extra costs to requesters.

There is a GoFundMe site at the link below to undertake this worthwhile goal, and I hope you can help me reach it!

Copies of already released issues were posted by Greenewald here:

Hypnosis and the U.S. Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS)

Background Hypnosis is a state of human consciousness involving focused attention and reduced peripheral awareness and an enhanced capacity to respond to suggestion. In some cases, hypnosis has been used by law enforcement to help witnesses recall previous events, memories etc. I thought it would be interesting to see if hypnosis was utilized by the U.S. Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), …

Threats Against Electoral College Members, 2016 Election Season

    The Black Vault
    .

There is quite a bit of news about UFOs today! I felt this is a perfect day, to invite you, that if you have seen a UFO -- to REPORT IT.

The Black Vault has launched the "TBV Investigations" Project -- and already I have some amazing people involved and ready to take your report seriously, and approach it in a scientific manner.

However, in order to really fine tune our investigative skills -- as we are just rolling out with a large set of tools and learning how we are all going to work together -- we need your help.

Have you seen a UFO? Even if you've reported it to another organization or wherever, you may not have the answers you're looking for, or you may have never even heard back from them.

Although we can't promise you a positive identification on your case, we do promise a serious look, a friendly response and implementation into the public case file database after some investigative scrutiny.

It doesn't take long -- and hope you will help us out by submitting your experience.

From The Desks of Project Blue Book

What if one of the military officers working with Project Blue Book rescued thousands of photographs, books, texts, documents, letters, memos etc. from the garbage, when the secret "UFO Study" was terminated in late 1969? What if he took them home, and stored them in his garage until someone came along that saw their value?

Well, that is exactly what happened when UFO Research Rob Mercer discovered that Lt. Carmon Marano preserved this amazing UFO history, and was gracious enough to share it.

Mr. Mercer has worked tirelessly to obtain, catalog and digitize this collection, and now, has agreed to allow The Black Vault to host it for the world to see.

The Black Vault is proud to now host these files in a section called, "From the Desks of Project Blue Book” — all with a special thanks of Investigator Rob Mercer for allowing this.

Many of these files are not available anywhere else, and are here due to the research efforts and archival efforts of Mr. Mercer. None of this can be reproduced without the express permission, as Mr. Mercer personally scanned this material for archival purposes, but it is 100% available to you all, for free.
