@Garuda, Over our way the Norton products, in various flavours of endpoint, were so notorious for stopping critical software from functioning, and corrupting installations, that we stopped using it. I must say, we had less trouble with actual viruses compared to the chaos caused by Norton/Symantec.
On the AntiVirus front, I'm been relatively pleased with Avira, not that it is fast or has low system impact, but because it simply worked. Bitdefender is also a solid product.

I had been using Bitdefender for years, without a problem. The free version is not very customizable but does a solid job, and no virus ever got through.

I somehow ended up getting two years of free Norton Antivirus, which I've been using since. When I didn't renew, they gave me a 75% off for the next two years.

It does indeed seem to cause problems with the monthly patches, as well as with the emergency patches. Yesterday evening Norton AV updated, and this morning the MS updates / patches installed without a problem.

If it causes any more problems, I might indeed uninstall it, and replace it.

Windows 11 launches October 5th, but will you upgrade?
It'll be free to go from Windows 10 to 11.

Microsoft today announced plans to launch Windows 11 on October 5th, inviting us to a world of exciting new features like rounded corners and a new default desktop wallpaper. As new named versions of Windows goes, 11 seems a smaller upgrade than from, say, Windows 3.1 to Windows 95, or from Window 8 to straight-up not owning a PC at all. Still, it has a few handy features for gaming. And it will roll out as a free upgrade from 10, if you want it.

Win 10 21H1 took minutes to install on two of my computers, months ago. Now, it finally installed on the third one, and took seven hours... Go figure.

Today's patches caused two of my computers to crash ... while downloading the patches!
The "Host process for Windows Task" started using 100% of the memory and of the CPU.
Everything that was open went into 'not responding' until the PC completely froze and a cold reboot was necessary.

Then when the patches did install, it turned out they completely destroyed any possibility of doing network printing.

Ran 3 queued WIN10 updates, took just under 15 minutes.
No problems with network printing.
Did you lose the option to "Share this printer"?
Or the option is there, just doesn't work anymore?

The shared printer is removed from the PCs. (As in, it no longer shows up in the list of installed printers).
When trying to set it up again, it says 'cannot connect to printer'.
It is a bug that affects all devices using 'Type III' printers.
In most cases, uninstalling the latest patch solves the problem.
Microsoft still hasn't made a solution available.

Today's patches require two reboots.

Noticed something odd afterward: on all computers the mouse cursors had changed. Instead of the 'normal' windows 10 mouse cursors they were the old NT style cursors.
I checked and indeed the mouse theme had been set to 'None' instead of 'Windows Standard Aero'.
Selecting the standard theme reinstated the normal mouse cursors.
