WINDOWS 10 "Creators Update" Version 1703 was released today, May 5, 2017.
It was a large download. Files downloaded and installed in about 30 minutes, only rebooted once.
I had been running "Anniversary Update" ver 1607 for past 6 months, pretty reliable once I got my TPM issues ironed out (upgraded physical TPM motherboard module from ver1.2 to ver2.0).
I have selected Current Branch (CB), for my update option. Current releases only, no beta test releases (non-paid beta tester? Not!).
    So far no issues.
Initial sign in accompanied by a "Privacy Settings" session. Guess MS heard us complaining. Ha!
Bitlocker drive still unlocks, my Hyper-V virtual machines still work.
Nifty new Paint3D program, have to take a closer look.

So far, so good. BBL with updates..

Privacy issues with Windows 10 bothers me, and that I will have to jump through 10 to 13 things to opt out of it...

I've done it once per PC, and didn't have to change anything afterwards.

And there are plenty of tools available to make it easier. See, e.g.:

FWIW, it was actually released on April 11th, but they're doing a gradual roll-out.

My bad, misread wiki who claims ver 1703 build 15063 Release date: April 5, 2017
    Not May 5th.
Coincidence it happened to d/L for me today, exactly one month later to the day. Round robin style.
    Happy Cinco De Mayo 2017!

"Once per PC"? Referring to 1703 Garuda? Is it Behaving for you?

The "privacy setting session" I referenced was a Wizard that ran on first startup. MS was pretty front and center on the privacy thing this go around.

I just forced the upgrade on my laptop. It took five hours: 2 to download, 3 to install!

    It all went smoothly, though.

It did change the vertical spacing of my desktop icons for some reason, so it all looks compacter now (which is not a good thing).

Edit to add: and apparently, it's happening elsewhere, too:

    I spoke too soon, again.

Because, AGAIN, all network shares and settings were removed...

It is beyond annoying that for each and every computer all network shares have to be manually reinstated.

Installed the update on another computer. Once downloaded, it took about 1 hour to install on this one.

Booting now takes a whole 8 minutes instead of 30 seconds.

The desktop icons were completely messed up (i.e. nearly doubled in size and all over the place). I had to install the WinAero Tweaker to get acceptable size and spacing again: http://winaero.com/request.php?1796

Are we talking update from Anniversary Ed v1607 to Creators update v1703?

Very odd. I have noted some differences depending on type of hard drive SATA3-6Gbps interface.
Standard Mechanical drive vs Solid State drive (SSD).
But both are booting under 1 minutes for me.

Did the one hour setup included the initial download?

I setup up a client system yesterday, after the initial startup, there were 2 or 3 additional updates downloaded and installed.
Perhaps the 8 minute boot time was the additional updates downloading and installing? Hope so!

No video anomalies noted... yet. Waiting for user to get back and report.
