Gene Duplantier’s UFO newsletters (1957-2006!) + “Irish UFO News” + “The Spaceviewer” - PDFs

I have had a run of good luck recently with requests for permission to upload material.

Yet again, most of the scans have been done by our friends at the AFU in Sweden – with various (sometimes considerable) gaps filled by veteran American ufologist Barry Greenwood. Further credits for the various scans are given below.

    SECTION 1 BELOW : Gene Duplantier’s UFO newsletters (1957-2006!)
Gene Duplantier is quite possibly the oldest living ufologist in Canada, if not the entire world). His newsletters (now scanned and at the links below) include "Saucers, Space & Science", "The Delve Report", "Ufolk" and "Outermost". This material by Gene Duplantier spans the period from 1957 to 2006. Links are further details are given below. Gene Duplantier can be seen in a photo from his 1978 publication. Although this photo is nearly 40 years old, Gene is still around. The term "veteran ufologist" is probably an understatement given that he is now over 90.

UFO investigator David Halperin has referred to Gene Duplantier as “perhaps Ufology’s most gifted artist” in an article about Duplantier’s publication “UFO 96”.

(I am grateful to Richard Heiden for helpfully mentioned to me a few weeks ago that Dr John Reed of WISE has had recent contact with Gene Duplantier. I emailed Dr Reed and he promptly passed on a permission request from me to Gene Duplantier. Chris Rutkowski also posted a letter within Canada from me, to avoid the delays involved in international postage. Thanks to this collaborate effort, Gene Duplantier kindly gave me permission to make his various periodicals freely available online).

SECTION 2 BELOW : “Irish UFO News” Miles Johnston has this week given me permission to make the “Irish UFO News” newsletters (from the 1970s) freely available online. These have also been uploaded to the AFU’s website.

SECTION 3 BELOW : “The Spaceviewer” Also, the AFU has scanned another pre-1964 UFO newsletter which appears now to be in the public domain due to the absence of any renewal of registration of the relevant copyright. So, links to that newsletter are also given below.

    SECTION 1 : Gene Duplantier’s UFO newsletters (1957-2006!)
    Section (1)(a) : Gene Duplantier’s “Saucers, Space & Science” (1950s-1970s)
“Saucers, Space & Science” is probably Gene Duplantier’s best known UFO newsletter (and also one of the best known Canadian UFO newsletters/journals). A total of 64 issues were published from 1957 to 1972. All of them are now online.
All 64 issues can all be downloaded from the following link with a single click during the next week: https://we.tl/oMJ2SiM7hR
After the next week, or if you only want a single issue, each issue is also on the AFU’s website at the link below: http://www.afu.se/Downloads/Magazine...0(Duplantier)/

Section 1b : Gene Duplantier’s "Ufolk" and "Outermost"
Some of Gene Duplantier’s publications had a shorter lifespan. One of them, “Ufolk”, was only published for a single issue – but it is nonetheless interesting since it contains photos of many Canadian researchers in the 1970s – plus details of various groups operating there in that period. I have not been able to find out how many issues of “Outermost” were published, but have only tracked down two issues of that publication
The following issues of these publications can all be downloaded from the following link with a single click during the next week:
    https://we.tl/GYCtTF4Jg0

After the next week, or if you only want a single issue, each issue is also on the AFU’s website at the link below:

Ufolk Issue 1 - Sole issue.
    Outermost - 2 issues.

    Section 1c : Gene Duplantier’s “Delve Report”
Gene Duplantier published his “Delve Report” in the 1990s and up to at least 2006. This publication mainly comprised newsclippings about UFOs and other fortean subjects from that time period
The following issues can all be downloaded from the following link with a single click during the next week: https://we.tl/TqX5SAmOrQ
After the next week, or if you only want a single issue, each issue is also on the AFU’s website at the link below: http://www.afu.se/Downloads/Magazine...0(Duplantier)/

    SECTION 2 : “Irish UFO News” (1970s)
Although Ireland is (relatively speaking) geographically rather close to England, I’ve obtained relatively few Irish UFO newsletters or magazines over the years. An American researcher, Barry Greenwood, raised the “Irish UFO News” with me recently. This was published in the 1970s. I contacted one of the people behind that publication (Miles Johnston) and he kindly gave me permission to get this publications scanned and uploaded.
Once again, the material was scanned by the AFU and Barry Greenwood.
The following issues can all be downloaded from the following link with a single click during the next week: https://we.tl/3nX5IcnRo3
After the next week, or if you only want a single issue, each issue is also on the AFU’s website at the link below: http://www.afu.se/Downloads/Magazine...%20UFO%20News/

Irish UFO News - No 7 (SCANNED BY AFU)
Irish UFO News - No 8 (SCANNED BY BARRY GREENWOOD)

SECTION 3 : “The Spaceviewer” (1950s) “The Spaceviewer” was a relatively small UFO newsletter edited by Dwight Bockman and Bud Kimes in the late 1950s and very early 1960s. It is in the public domain due to the absence of any registration to renew the copyright of this pre-1964 publication. Copies are rather rare, so I’m pleased to be able to make available scans of many (but not all) of the issues of this newsletter. Once again, thanks for the historical docs.

750Megs of docs? Going to have to buy Seagate or Western Digital stock if this keeps up. Ha!
