Interesting info Cal and thanks for posting about it here. In an unsafe world, nice to know that they're using the most advanced tech out there in the area of missile defense.

This is rather troubling...
from CNN
Japan: North Korea conducts sixth nuclear test
My inner Mulder wants to believe, but my inner Scully remains skeptical.
I agree. It IS very troubling news. No question about that. Today I spent time reading news articles on that test and it's clear that everyone is beside themselves on how to respond to it. It seems like our leaders honestly don't have a clue as to what to do about this situation. For the avg. person out there, such uncertainty on the part of our leaders around the world is pretty scary to say the least. Sure, they all condemn it, and this goes for Russia and China too, but my question is, what's it going to take for anyone to finally make a move and actively eliminate this ongoing threat from North Korea, for once and for all?
update: The following insights from Boris Johnson sound interesting (and hopeful).
Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said if North Korea managed to fit a hydrogen bomb to a "successful missile" it would "unquestionably present a new order of threat".
Concerning the way ahead, Mr Johnson said that "none of the military options are good".
But on sanctions, he pointed out that China is responsible for 90% of North Korea's trade, adding that Kim Jong Un's nation has only six months of oil supplies left.
He said Britain's message to Beijing was: "We think there's more scope, for you the Chinese, to put economic pressure on the North Koreans."
