Thread: Web hosting?

  1. #1

    Question Web hosting?

Many years with a company to host three domains. Was very pleased with them... No price increases, good customer service, decent control panel...

Their parent company is doing away with the web hosting division. Frustrated trying to find another company to host the sites. Online reviews of various web hosting companies are frightening! Some do not allow usage of domain email addresses, and if they do it they push you toward Google or Microsoft and costing extra money every month. Some have limited bandwidth, limited storage, limited number of web-pages allowed.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Casper...

I am using www.servage.net for all of my websites, as well as many websites for customers.

They are cheap. Their support is up to par most of the time.

The one caveat at this stage is that they don't support the free https / ssl certificates from LetsEncrypt et. al., and still charge a lot of money for their own certificates.

SO, if https / ssl is not a must, they're a good choice.

If you need https / ssl, contact www.simplydesign.me and say you're a member of The OutPost Forum.
It will cost you slightly more for hosting, but they do support the LetsEncrypt certificates, so if you have more than one site, and you want https / ssl, you'll be better off with them.
    (They're hosting the forum).
PM me if you need an email address to contact them.

I have used GoDaddy for 10+ years. For web hosting, domain reg, SSL Certs. and email. Prices have climbed a bit over time, but service and performance has always been good.

I've always used GoDaddy for my clients. Very easy to use too!
99% of my work though is in print advertising and brochures because that's where the jobs are.

    Currently using https://www.stablehost.com/

Do you require a Shared level of service or just VPS?
