In some places those food shortages, and shortages in general, are biting: https://www.nzherald.co.nz/world/uk-...DFNZT57HHLX4Q/
Although I do consider it a bit of a self-inflicted wound.
In NZ the shortage of timber is a real issue, as well as products with production shortages (seen mostly in computer equipment orders over my way.)

I doubt anyone needs to be Psychic to see this is rather bad:

Looks like things will get rather exciting in the near term, then even more exciting later on.
Note: Now getting even more gear in, which I'm never quite sure why I'm buying it at the time, but find out later it's most useful. It sort of hints towards a forest ninja...

No doubt things a heating up way more than or media is covering...

Two U.S. "SeaWolf" Fast-Attack Subs, show up in San Diego, receive top secret cargos and depart port without crew disembarking!

An astonishing thing took place recently involving two United States fast-attack submarines, and what happened is an ominous sign that REAL trouble in the Pacific is much closer than any of us have been told.

On October 20, the USS Jimmy Carter, the single most advanced nuclear-propelled submarine in the US Navy, popped-up near San Diego, and headed into port.

Once it was placed at dock by two tug boats, the crew DID NOT disembark. Instead, the tarps were placed along the entire dock to prevent anyone seeing what was taking place, material-handling equipment like fork trucks, went out on the dock, then straight-job trucks with concealed cargo headed out also. Whatever the trucks were carrying was apparently loaded into the submarine.

I would say almost certainly a response to the Chinese hypersonic missile test, perhaps loading technology that they thought they did not need yet. It certainly is heating up in the Pacific and yet in Europe they swan around in blissful ignorance. France wonders why Australia dumped them while in the midst of a trade war with China they sign a free trade deal with China and quite happily take Australia's place.

Maybe they won't go as far now our world is so interconnected, but then America is desperately trying to hold onto former glory and China don't want to lose face. More specifically Xi Jinping framed his career on the one China policy.

    Rather interesting: https://www.nzherald.co.nz/world/rus...7NAT2JKIMVTLM/
Given the situation with NATO trying to push right up the border of Russia, I can see why they would be concerned and about to enforce their red-line.

In the context of the above, this suggests that either they are practising to rumble, or they are testing everything is go for launch: https://arstechnica.com/science/2021...eaten-the-iss/
