The party balloon explanation is however very unlikely given the time involved between initial and later reports. Even though the New York UFO sightings were first officially reported at 1:30 pm, shortly after the accidental Mt Vernon party balloon release, witnesses described seeing the UFOs as early as 9:30 am on October 13, and that they numbered as many as 50. Also, the closure of the New York radar facilities and flight delays began at 6:45 pm. Up to this time, UFOs were being sighted and filmed by New York residents. Could a dozen party balloons hover for more than five hours over Manhattan after first drifting down from nearby Mt Vernon, and remain stationary over NYC? More importantly, could party balloons have mysteriously contributed to the evacuation of the Westbury radar facility, and flight delays for up to an hour at three major airports?
The party balloon explanation falls apart at closer examination. It nevertheless appears to have been quickly accepted by the mass media in what appears to be an officially sanctioned attempt to cover up the truth behind the New York UFO sightings. This leads to the most plausible explanation that the UFOs were intelligently controlled objects that caused problems with the Westbury radar facility. This led to flight delays at New York's three major airports. This seems to be a similar series of events as occurred earlier this year at several Chinese airports after UFO sightings. Most significantly, what happened over New York's skies vindicates the October 13 prediction made four months earlier by a retired NORAD officer that extraterrestrial vehicles would begin appearing over major world cities as the first step in a process to prepare humanity for the truth that we are not alone.

Here's a compilation of all of the news reports and video's recorded of those "ufo" seen over NYC on Oct. 13th. There's a variation of how those objects were recorded in the sky. Some of those vids show separate objects, a fleet of them, seen up there and other vids show a cluster of round objects of different sizes as one unit up there. Very confusing...

Elizabeth Klarer (1910–1994) was a South African who claimed to have been contacted by extraterrestrials from 1954 through 1963. She was one of the first women to claim a sexual relationship with an extraterrestrial.

Elizabeth was born in Mooi River, Natal. She studied meteorology and music in England and learned to fly light aircrafts. After reading George Adamski's Flying Saucers Have Landed (1953) and Inside the Space Ships (1955), Klarer suddenly remembered that she had been receiving occasional telepathic messages from a friendly space alien named Akon since childhood. Akon was presumably unrelated to Adamski's Venusian space friend Orthon. She was able to take photos of the ship from the Drakensberg Mountains on July 17, 1955.

Elizabeth managed to call down Akon and his scout ship on April 7, 1956, for an actual landing. She was carried up to the mother ship in Earth's orbit and was eventually transported in 1957 to Akon's home planet, Meton, which orbits the nearby multiple-star system Alpha Centauri where she delivered Akon's son. Her son, Ayling, stayed behind on Meton to be educated while Elizabeth came home.

On his world lecture tour in the late 1950s, George Adamski made a point of visiting South Africa and looking up Elizabeth for a chat on their variety of experiences with the friendly, wise space brothers. By that time, Elizabeth was not the only Adamski follower to experience claimed space-motherhood, because in 1957, British housewife Cynthia Appleton revealed that one of Adamski's handsome blond Venusian space brothers had seduced her as well. Elizabeth Klarer died in 1994 in South Africa.

With respect to Acart- the Centauri system, Barnard's Star and Wolf 359 are all within 5 light years of Earth- Wolf and Barnard's Star are listed as at a slightly greater distance but due to gravity lensing may actually be closer.

Interesting that there was a mini-wave of contacts from Alpha Centauri and Epsilon Eridani.
