Jim Caviezel is also in Outlander, a sci-fi film I liked very much.

'Battlestar Galactica' returns online
By Topher Kohan and Henry Hanks
"Battlestar Galactica," Syfy's reimagining of the 1978 TV series, stands as one of the most successful sci-fi franchises of the past decade.
Once the critically acclaimed show ended its run in 2009, fan interest in more adventures didn't waver.
Unfortunately, the first spinoff, "Caprica," only lasted one season, but another potential series, "Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome," showed promise.
Now, more than two years since "Caprica" ended, fans are finally able to see the pilot for "Blood and Chrome" on YouTube's Machinima Network (eight parts have been posted).

Looks interesting. I was one of the people who thought it had been rejected. I think they are ahead of the curve as to where entertainment is going. I hope it is successful. I liked all of Battlestar, even the parts people hated and I thought Caprica was OK, a bit draggy, but should have gotten more of a chance.
(and that is post #2000)
The trailer for the new Star Trek movie looks awesome.

The Walking Dead
Not into Zombie stuff, overkill the past few years. End of the world stuff, I do enjoy.
Based on recommendations from the group, I broke-down and rented seasons one and two of The Walking Dead. Video store employees had confirmed it was worthy of my time.
It was worthy…
I do not have pay TV, and will have to wait until season three is on DVD before able to watch it. I did hop skipped through season three clips at the show’s website. Looks good.
It is surprisingly good. Zombie films/stories when they are done well are stories of regular people faced with impossible situations and how they deal with what cruel Fate puts in front of them. People have to forage, scout, fight, tend the wounded and sick, plan, lead others, and sometimes kill friends or loved ones. The finale of Season Two would be over the top and unbelievable had the actions of the characters over two years not led to that conclusion. That is not just a Zombie show, it is Drama. It is Tragedy.
I'm glad you are enjoying The Walking Dead.
