Seems to be part of the plot line from Blade Runner......

Blade Runner is a 1982 American science fiction film directed by Ridley Scott and starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, and Sean Young. The screenplay, written by Hampton Fancher and David Peoples, is loosely based on the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick.

The film depicts a dystopian Los Angeles in November 2019 in which genetically engineered organic robots called replicants—visually indistinguishable from adult humans

    This is a great movie.

True! I had not thought of Deckard and Rachel in that context, but yes. Rachel is a Pinocchio type. When Deckard tests her she doesn't know she is artificial but she figures it out over the course of the film.

I just found a new, sealed Special Edition DVD with four versions of Blade Runner and commentary for $10.

Blade Runner is my all time favorite movie. I watched that movie so many times I actually wore out one VHS tape... I was in love with Rachael.

I don`t know if you`d call it love...but I had a thing for the Daryl Hanna character. Very attractive young lady. :-)

When she lets her hair down, it's all over for me... I'm in love all over again.

    Earth vs The Flying Saucers
One of my all time favs.
Harryhausen saucer effects stole the show in this SciFi classic.
Had to buy the DVD all over again when it was re-released in color.
