Canadian Mint first to DISCLOSE 2011 alien Grey existence

A little warm up for another y2k type build up to December. Breaking news story by SteveDigiboyTV Canadian canoe tribute silver $20 coin peice.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: On the mint website you can distinguish what looks like a hairline. It still looks like a grey zeta from a glance and the face of kid is distorted anyways and it could be a grey with a knit cap with eye cut outs!

Thanks eppo. At first glance, that does look like a grey. I wonder if that is one of the reasons it sold out so quickly. But the whole picture is a very nice design.

This was discussed by Grant Cameron on Facebook a month or two back. The artist commented that the ET-like appearance was due to a low resolution image. He said the image depicted a boy looking into the water to see a reflection of a Native American looking back at him.

Damn, that's interesting. Normally something like that wouldn't be allowed to be printed onto a coin, unless there was a very good reason to do so.

The explanation that is is a low resolution image of a boy isn't very convincing, either.

Agreed. The US Mint employs highly skilled artists for our coins, I assume Canada would be comparable. US coin makers also have an artists mark, I would be interested to know if that could be traceable on this coin?

I suspect that this possibly was meant as a joke, and the die that made these coins was not replaced with the correct die and a press run was made and not caught until too many were made to recall. The run seems to be a short one. With many facilities being shorted of personnel to run them, these require shortcuts which could explain this not being caught in time. Were the individuals involved fired, or maybe they were and we have yet to find that out.
