On Sunday the 11th October, 2011 Mr Tim Levy made a very unusual discovery. Walking his dog near a small woodland at crossways, Dorchester he noticed what he at first thought was a dead animal. Upon further inspection he discovered a decapitated Stag's head.

Closer examination revealed some very unusual details. Luckily Mr Levy was aware of the animal mutilation phenomenon and, as butcher by trade, immediately recognised the bizarre nature of his discovery. He had the presence of mind to take several pictures and videos before contacting researchers at the Animal Pathology Field Unit.
