UFO Pic From Mt Wasington New Hampshore

It looks like something hanging from the bottom of the object.

Does anyone have any ideas?

There are numerous cable-ways in those mountains, it would be nice to have a specific trail and geolocation for where this might have been taken, I've used Google Earth to try and locate it but minimal success given the terrain, the other side of the valley seems to have a serious ski resort, but I can't tie it in Google Earth.

My thinking is that this could be the top of a cable car shuttle on a cable and the camera somehow snapped it and only caught a segment that was saved sequentially. We often forget that these digital cameras are not like film and the images are often stitched from multiple segments. I don't know where the rest of the car would be, if this was a viable explanation then one of the other segments would have to have had something of the car too.

Knowing the location of the photo would help exclude this as an explanation, as otherwise a genuine UFO would seem to have to be invoked as likely.

It is difficult to tell (due to blur). Since no one remembers seeing anything unusual that day, it bets the question as to what types of insects were flying around there. Using edge detection, the object sticking out at the bottom appears to be an insect wing… which would be my guess.

Am I seeing a slightly lighter shade of blue around the object in question. The object isn't dead center of the lighter shade, it is off and slightly up to the right looking at it, left if looking away from it. If so, perhaps it is photo shopped.

One should notice what appears to be a plastic film over the camera lens or possibly a post added effect (which causes a distortion like pattern all over the photo). It is possible (since the camera appears to be a Huawei U8800-51, a cell phone) the protective plastic was left covering the lens.

It is not unusual for cell phone meta data to be incomplete... or for the saved Jpeg to have its meta/Exif data (and the image itself) modified. Its a hazard of the beast.
