The BBC just published an article on scientific research into Yeti, Bigfoot, etc.

An opinion should be the result of thought, not a substitute for it.

Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge.

At least they're looking into it.
It is encouraging that science is getting involved at this level--which may be the real value of some of the Nat Geo type cable programs. The BBC article is the typical, cheesy, giggle-factor infected crap that I hate but the university study shows promise.
It is on my mind lately that no matter what anyone puts forward some jackass jumps in and tries to immediately negate it with debunkery. Truth is, most of us here just want things looked at thoroughly and honestly with the conclusions at the end of the study not at the beginning. For some of us the chase is everything. Pursuing answers is our fun and having the answers decreed beforehand doesn't even make it out of the gate.
Scientist are slowly coming out of the closet on this cryptid… there is too much evidence to ignore. I think it is a matter of time before undeniable evidence will surface, since this subject is being scrutinized much more seriously than in the past.

Mmm, yes, very curious, very interesting...
