It would have to be something...that lives @ that depth. Something man enough to kill a 9ft great white...and stayed fed for 8 days, before it ascends again for hunting.

That's messed up. Could it be Megalodon, the super Shark? From the days of the dino's? Which some how still managed to survive?

I was really going towards the giant squid...but it would have had to wrap "her" up and basically bit the tag off with its beak. Could have happened, but doubtful...
My next best guess, is maybe it was running from a rather "randy" male shark. (the depth drop) Then he might have got a good look at her mug and figured..."Hey, food".
Best I got so far. LoL
