This sounds like just the sort of exploration I have enjoyed in the past. I'll read the pdf as soon as I get a chance.

The last I heard anything from David Flynn was good news. As much of the tumor as could be removed,was. He was doing good and seemed very positive.

I finished "The Myth That Is True" last night and wanted to lay out a few things about it. I found myself wishing he had gone further into the end times.

I know Michael Heiser doesn't care much for eschatology but I would've really enjoyed where his thinking was at this point in time. He views it in the past as deliberately secretive and will remain that way with the remaining biblical prophecy.

I certainly understand why he views it this way. As I've mentioned on several occasions I believe many of the most popular views of the end times will not become a reality in my opinion. I believe God will reveal by opening up understanding when he chooses.


Really the main points of "The Myth That Is True" is the Divine Council and how one day believers will be a part of the Divine Council. Those Divine Council Sons of God (Watchers,Holy Ones) that became corrupt lost their seats and will be replaced by the human Sons of God born from the resurrection of a new life that was made possible by Jesus Christ.

All the disinherited nations that took place at Babel that were put under the authority of lesser (elohim) sons of God will one day be in The Father's hands. These lesser (elohim) sons of God will not just turn them over,they will have to be "Taken" from them. All around us is a spiritual war of all wars going on and has been for a very long time.

The day Jesus Christ began his ministry it was all about taking back those disinherited nations from the enemy. The enemy didn't understand the road to The Cross. They may be wise but not wise enough. If they had known the full story the dark forces would never have taken the road they did. But one thing is certain,they still believe they can win.

The leaves of The Tree of Life for the healing of the nations will one day be a reality. This whole earth will one day be Eden. The Divine Council will be right here on this earth........."Eden".

This is the only Select [Personal] Thoughts on Eschatology that I have seen Michael admit to (The thoughts in italics are his "Points of Uncertainty"

The kingdom of God is present now (Col 1:13) - Is this all the kingdom is?
The Church inherited the covenant with Abraham (Gal 3:25-29) - Does this rule out a future for national Israel? (Rom 11:25-32)

The Church is the household of David (Acts 15:16-17); consistent with Church = kingdom under Christ, its head. - Does this rule out a visible kingdom being installed when the Davidic messiah returns?

The Church = temple of God (corporate & individual; 1 Cor 3:16; 6:19). - Does this mean there is no need to rebuild the temple?

There will be discernible signs prior to 2nd coming; astronomical & historical - Requires a major guess and still ambiguous; as to kind and precision (exact day or hour not possible, but range may be).

I guess I will have to read his stuff, because I don't see Earth becoming Eden when it's written in 2 Peter 3:10 that, "But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare."

Now that version leaves room for interpretation, although this version does not, "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."

I'm not sure how "burned up" and "laid bare" or even "exposed" was translated from the original writings, but it is only by examining them can we get a better picture of what to expect.

Howard, the free pdf is gone now, I guess the book will be out soon. I don't know if ScaRZ downloaded the pdf.
Well worth taking a look at. Does get a little redundant on some of the verses repeating but it's worth paying attention to it. If you can stick with reading the whole book you'll maybe see where it does make a lot of sense. I know there are places in it where some would throw it down and not finish it. I would say to them not to jump ahead and assume things.
