Pandora'sParadox

A Paradox-Box?

Once upon a time, there was a planet. Which was kept in the dark for most of its existence. It was never able to reach its true potential and shriveled up, fading away with having made no more fuss than a rain drop. The End.

...and this is what i feel like.

The need to wake up comes to mind. Like someone pulled back the curtains and let the light in. It's now, that I am drawn to a reference, "Ignorance is bliss". On some scale, I find it to be mind numbing'ly factual.

I look at my fellow men and women of today...caught in the web of amnesia. Explanations are useless when dealing with mundane minds. Yes, you better keep watching your, "American-Reality"

Are we all just cattle, standing in the maze of life...waiting to be processed by the "Shop" at the end of the line? When Jay Leno used to do his skit on dumb Americans, I would weep. How did we let it get this bad? Whats the point of learning, when you go to your 9-5 job and repeat meaningless tasks, then have to deal with your personal life? Kind of encompasses the whole thing. An informed person of today's modern era says they get their information from watching the morning news, or *BC,CB*,or AB* at 6'o clock. Do you really think, that this is news? How to make low fat foods and itemizing are not top on my list.

In my head...
( I walk into an empty field, with all the research, documents, and videos that have enveloped a good portion of my time. Not a single soul around, I stand...wanting something more. Almost like trying to fill a void that I never knew was there. I drop all of my papers, books, ect. and let it scatter in the wind. It's almost like one life-time isn't enough to answer all the questions that need to be answered. Once "one" is gone, who cares the info? Who steps up to continue the flow of knowledge through generations of "cattle"? Keep taking your anti-reality meds proscribed by your doctor.

I could spit fire all day on things that are openly wrong with "us", but it will no doubt get me nowhere. I only hope that my last worlds reflect somewhat near that of Andrew Jackson's, "I Killed The Bank!" All I can do, is stand and watch as the system crumbles down around us...but it's easy...being told what to do...being told not to care...so...we fall in line. The only thing that matters is useless currency and Friday nights.

"I see all this potential, and I see squandering. God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy **** we don't need. We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact." -Tyler Durden-

Live happy.

Living in ignorance while focusing on distractions has become a very comfortable way of living for most.

As Heidegger would say, they're living inauthentic lives.

Exactly...and I completely get it. Simple = easy. Nobody wants anything to be hard...but how will we know what we are capable of until we push ourselves.

Look to the stars above and not those placed podiums.
