The problem isnt in those who are different from you but your problem with those who are different
I'm an anachronistic throwback. My tastes lean to the old-school, when once upon a time, Ozzy Osbourne still had a few neurons left between his ears.
Doo Wop: The Cleftones Heart and Soul
The Mello Kings: Tonight Tonight (Notice the record label got their name wrong--not all that unusual back in a time when some record companies were fly-by-night operations run by guys in a hurry!)
The Skyliners Since I Don't Have You
Chris Hadfield - Cover of Bowie's SPACE ODDITY
We control matter because we control the mind. Reality is inside the skull.
~ George Orwell ‘1984’
I'm still in a Doo Wop mood. Lee Andrews and the Hearts had three big hits in the 1st Doo Wop era but like so many groups, their chart numbers don't reflect their enormous popularity at the time and for years after. Teardrops was the first of their hits.
Mark-Almond, 'The City'
Well, I slept last night in the open
Down by a redwood tree
Yes, I slept last night in the open
Just to let, just to let, just to let my soul free
I don't want to know, I don't want to go,
I don't want to go back into the city.
It's just a long long long lonely taxi ride
Going nowhere.
Well, I slept last night in the open
(It gets so hot in the city)
Down by a redwood tree
(It gets so hot in the city)
Yes, I slept last night in the open
Just to let, just to let, just to let my soul free.
I don't want to know, I don't want to go,
I don't want to go back into the city.
It's just a long long long lonely taxi ride
Going nowhere.
Sailin' away to Key Largo...
This song was huge that year; played constantly on the radio.
One of my all time favorites: It Never Rains In Southern California
