You can extend the life of these systems by pre-filtering with something cheaper like a Sawyer Squeeze water filter, which are very affordable ($20-$30 USD) and last up to 100,000 gallons. But since they only filter out bacteria and cysts not small viruses or chemicals, that's where LifeSaver and Berkey come in. The Sawyer filters are great for barter (will be worth immeasurably more than silver and gold) and can serve as a backup to scatter around in go kits, car kits, and buried caches due to their low cost and small size.

Good idea on the Raspberry Pis. With proper setup they can turn a USB external drive into a WiFi networked drive to serve up bulletins and a library of multimedia files to family/neighbors, especially those who only have phones to use (which take less power than laptops obviously).

With PiSDR and a $25 SDR dongle you can tune into FM, Airband, GMRS, FRS, Weather, some HAM, and other radio transmissions via the Pi. HAM is my main concern since they'll be the last ones transmitting, as AM/FM stations get taken out or taken over. For that, better to go with a dedicated shortwave radio with single sideband (SSB) capability like the Tecsun PL-660. SSB is necessary to listen to HAMs. Depending on the radio band, time of day, antenna length, local electrical noise, and solar conditions, you can pick up signals from hundreds to thousands of km away.

This coming economic crisis looks cataclysmic. Stock market crash, debt/bond market collapse (that's the big one), simultaneous deflationary collapse (bankruptcies, liquidation, and unemployment) and inflationary collapse (money losing its value and savings getting wiped out) leading to a chain-reaction of currency collapses around the world. Mix the Great Depression with Weimar Germany and multiply by 100x. I think the powers that be know the system is so screwed they're going to demolish it and "build back better."

The Berkey unit is so shiny I guarantee it'll turn Medusa to stone a full 360 degrees around the vessel; it appears space-ready. While the metal is reasonably thick, I would recommend buying a heavy-duty case for it, perhaps a Pelican case? You never know what bounces it'll be exposed to, and I suspect the skull of a Grey would win.

Packed, it is roughly 50% of its assembled height and divides into two main chambers. The packed assembly contains the spigot kit, two black filters and various bits. The assembled top chamber contains the filtration system, and the lower chamber is where clean water is deposited for access via the plastic spigot (I would suggest investigating if you can get other more durable spigots, and metal fitments, perhaps coated with silver. With rings and washers, I also suggest making sure you have spares). The packing bags for the unit should be kept, as they are light-weight non-scratching material, and ensuring this is carefully packed during transport is pretty important. I recommend having a non-toxic wax candle, or many, available if you need to drip-wax-seal problem/leaking areas; you never know. A reusable fire-lighter is highly advisable, such as a flint and steel fire-striker.

Looking through the instructions, the main takeaway is ensuring everything is kept clean, so I would recommend getting a durable bottle of white vinegar for cleaning in the future.
Having some iodine available, also in a durable container, would be recommended. There is also mention of pre-cleaning contaminated water sources, so purification tablets will help there also (this is mainly to ensure the source is as dead as possible before use.) I note salt water is a no-no; it'd corrode the unit, so use the two glass bottles trick and a candle, the evaporating steam from one bottle will drip into the other as salt-free water. You could also use a crystal ball to focus the Suns rays onto a piece of metal, which could boil a source.

I picked up a pair of the Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction elements, simply because they were available, and who knows what evil things they might stop as well. These are used in-line with the black filters.

As Montalk mentioned, the Sawyer Squeeze water filter would indeed be a good idea for prefiltering water before it encounters the Berkey unit; you might also be able to use a sand-bag as a bulk buffer filter, creating a grey-water source free of most suspended crud. Given the longevity of the Sawyer filter, I think it should be the goto for prefiltering most grey water sources in general. I note it is also quite cleanable, which will be important as time goes on.

After some checking, seems Sawyer filters are still available in NZ, so I'll get a couple.

For some reason, given the current situation and overall context, I am reminded heavily of this:

As a total aside, the Human body does not process the glowing liquid from light-sticks. Given the liquid is non-toxic, it can be consumed, and the resulting stream of urine glows in the dark. Under the right conditions, and if you have chosen the blue liquid, you could make it appear as though you have been exposed to fatal levels of Tritium. This may be useful in a pinch.

@Fore I believe they identified the Oregon one as a Space X booster reentering, and I'd be inclined to believe it as there is that distinct twinkle coming from the debris; which seems to only appear for artificial objects.

This should be of interest for those following the development of biological machines and robots using current tech: https://phys.org/news/2021-04-dna-ro...utes-days.html

@Montalk, it was quite interesting talking with the retailer when buying the Sawyer filters, apparently they are not too popular in NZ, which is odd, given the prominent risk of Giardia. The price was a bit north as well, double. However, I suspect the margins are fairly different for some things + the added tax.

    Pretext releases for the topic.

I wonder what form disclosure will take. How far from standard narratives will the official story wander?

This is from the point of view of the above process being directed by external entities:
Personally, from my perspective, there would be a greater chance of success for an entity to stick with the standard narrative [Alien beings coming to earth in a time of need], as it fits better with the current knowledge base here. Redoing everything would be a large-scale effort, with no guarantee of success (if we take it from the fallen Angel point of view, it's all about maximising how many souls are lost, and they have the "grand deception" to follow.)
One key warning exists "you will know them by their actions." this implies multiple entities, where they appear to be one thing, but their actions show otherwise. In keeping with that, the Alien approach works, as does the antichrist approach; which, in itself, would suggest a non-spiritual approach. However, even for all that, it could be something completely different, or a spectrum of approaches (fake aliens, fake holy beings, Fake Aliens pretending to really be Aliens in opposition to the outwardly fakes ones, a fake Jesus returns to whoop everyone's ass and so on.)

In terms of the current efforts to bring material into the public domain, this suggests a preparation phase, where there will be the public appearance of entities. This could also be a phase where people are made aware of "other things" so they are less frightened when "visitors" start arriving during bad times. In all cases, Governments can say they have only recently brought the material they had together, and they have just realised there really is something going on; they can explain everything away as "everyone thought it was crazy to even check, because UFOs and Aliens are not real." I really don't think the general public could find fault with that line of reasoning, as they themselves had been doing/saying exactly the same thing.

The newest SkyWatch video had a nice compilation of recent meteor sightings, including atmospheric bounces, which also showed an uptick in activity. I should now have a bit more time to gather more equipment, as I've been freed up from a major project.

I'll point out I occasionally dream about asteroids, and I'm aware I can deflect the problems of the first, be wounded by the second, but not survive the third; at least I won't die alone. In terms of the asteroids themselves, usually seen as a relatively flat-field of various brown/orange shaded rocks [not any of those grey coloured aggregate space dust-bunnies.] There's a particular rough but semi-flattish one out there with my number on it, as far as I can tell.

Side Note: Today has been notable for some pretty hard look-ins by something. So hard, in-fact, I was getting poor feedback of the entity and its surrounding environment; something different from the usual bunch, at least in terms of the hard edges to the background structure of where they were, and indications they were wearing something with a straight-cut sleeve, had a rather round head. I'll probably initiate a look-back in a little while, as I don't think it's protecting itself properly.

Seems to be a sharp uptick in activity in spiritual level. Even as a psychically "deaf" person I can hear the activity and it is noticeably increasing. I wonder whats up?

It's noteworthy enough to mention it. No clues on what the chatter is about.
Perhaps something is going down? Dunno.

@Fore, Lines of association activated so fast that I spotted what you are talking about. Not sure myself, the filed effect is not something I normally see, but it certainly is strong for what it is.
I'm trying to probe for some form of understanding, but what I'm seeing is "concern", or "workers urgency"
Woah, this is setting off my ring, and the core bit in the middle I mentioned before, but not too strongly. There's a reasonable amount of field flux as well.
Overall, not really sure what is going on, but the combo is very odd.

I had a couple of questions about the Berkey unit.
Which version did you buy? (Travel?Royal? Crown?)
Why are some rated to produce more water than others?
Is it because they expect you to load up on extra filters with the larger units or is there some other variable?

How quickly does it filter water? Does it really take 24 hours to fill the bottom container?

I ended up buying the Royal unit, as this one was in stock at the time. It has 4 potential inlet points for the filters, which increases the total amount of water being filtered per hour; when you load in more filters.
In the case of the travel unit, when I was reading through the documentation I noted it has 2 filtering points internally, so it reduces the max rate for litres per hour; and, naturally, this cannot be increased.
As these units are effectively gravity fed, larger units will have a greater weight of water behind the filters, which will also increase the filtering speed.

I've not used the unit yet to determine how long the lower section takes to fill. I'm under the impression that this could be calculated by taking the bottom capacity, and dividing by filtered litres per hour, to give hours required to fill the unit.
TBH, I'm keeping this safely stored for when I need it, and I'm to too afraid of ingesting some carbon soot from the filters in the first run [Eating charcoal to absorb ingested poisons would suggest it might even be a good thing.]
