Now, you can make a strong case, I think, by saying that, 'No, this is something we need to know.' You said this in 'Them,' one of the very last things you said was, 'We need to organize a way to find this, organize it and what have you, and theorize about it.' But you also said it was the right, our inalienable right - and I agree with you - to know about this."
Whitley: "It's a right but it's a rather dangerous one."
Semivan: "Yeah. Let me also add...when you think about this, there are national security issues, naturally, associated with this but I don't think that's enough not to say, 'Look, we're being visited,' or 'We have visitors and we're not alone in the Universe or other non-human intelligences are around.' But you have to wonder - and let me give the government here the benefit of the doubt in some respects - why over 80 years...what did they know? What did they come across that is so problematic that they will not discuss this in any way, shape, or form? That's something that I've been thinking about and I've had other people involved tell me, 'If you only knew the depth and complexity of this and if you knew how frightening it is, you would understand the government's reluctance to even admit something that's...what is so obvious to all of us, is that we're not alone and there are other non-human intelligences with us on this planet."

Matt Laslo: What was the ???? of his talk, was it on SAP's special access programs or was it broader?
Rep Norman: He spoke for 20 minutes. At COS we start at 8, he talks for 20 minutes, then we answer questions. [Yep] Where is the funding coming from from the government? It's been portrayed by the media as a 'crazies that are identifying you know unidentified flying objects', and but it's not, he... he's been doing this 30 some years, combat veteran knows very qualif... I'm gonna have him back in fact we may open it up to everybody on y'all ought to know it everybody should...
Matt Laslo: the public even then?
Rep Norman: Yeah
Matt Laslo: Interesting because I heard he corroborated what the whistleblower David Grush testified to some...
Rep Norman: Absolutely
Matt Laslo: Interesting..
Rep Norman: You got to realize that he has no... he has no reason to do this, I mean he had no reason, he's not getting paid ,[yeah] he comes up here free of charge, and is sending us all the slides, a lot of it is... Most of us did not understand other than it's real. We have to know about it. The American people need to know about it.
Matt Laslo: What was the most surprising thing you heard from him?
Rep Norman: The pilots, he brought in; two pilots that had actually witnessed it, seen it. He showed slides of it - which was unbelievable.
Matt Laslo: So it was him and the two pilots, Navy pilots?
Rep Norman:No, it was four people. Had a scientist, had a combat pilot that had flown missions and reported what he saw and took pictures. So this isn't some figment of our imagination.
Matt Laslo: You gonna bring it up to Speaker Johnson? It's been stalled
Rep Norman: He's got his plate full whether he wants to hear about this or not.
Matt Laslo: he's still getting his training wheels on...
Rep Norman: That's something else well you know he's trying he's doing his best it's disturbing...
Matt Laslo: yeah it's interesting though because you were you a part of the oversight hearing this summer because we haven't really heard much on it?
Rep Norman: No I was not part of the oversight at one time, but I didn't hear any this summer,
Matt Laslo: Because they testified in July and then we haven't really heard much on it, and it's interesting that it's now coming from you, and from a different group than the UAP people
Rep Norman: Yes these are our group is... [yeah ] we're not experts in this field [yeah] but the information is what needs to be out there [interesting] and I'm gonna have him back and he's got a lot to say he's real careful not to breach yeah top secret things
Matt Laslo: Isn't that where there's overlap what you just got down in the SCIF the whole comment on that but the whole conversation about declassification and over classification that's where
Rep Norman: Well the seriousness of it yeah this is I mean that's what's shocking this isn't Playland.
Matt Laslo: But you think the American people can handle a lot of this information that's currently classified?
Rep Norman: Whether they handle it or not, it's up to them. You can research anything. It's up to the American people to decide. It's freedom of the press, freedom of speech. I couldn't decipher everything he had in an hour. You couldn't do that. But it's up to me to to get those who can decipher it and walk us through it and he did a hell of a job.
