The University of Alaska - Fairbanks is taKing over the HAARP arrays. It sounds like the DOD has no further interest in the site. They may yet have an interest in the technology thanks to what they have learned from it, but will deploy operational units, if any, elsewhere.

Wonder what the electric bill$ run for that place?
Nice of the USG to hand the HAARP facility off to UAF, but the thought of a bunch of undergrads playing "What happens when we try this?" with a big chunk of our atmosphere makes me cringe.
