Thousands of years old and we are just getting to know it in detail.

A number of old Stonehenge theories appear on the verge of proven incorrect.

I had the opportunity to see Stonehenge in the fall of 1972. I took a semester off in college and lived with some friends stationed at RAF Alconbury.
We took a trip west to Wales and stopped at Stonehenge. I feel so privileged to have been able to walk among the stones. They've since stopped, or drastically reduced, that ability. I got to place my hands on the stones and in some of the carvings. We were there at sunset and although not at fall equinox, it was close, and seeing the sun set between the stones and standing IN the circle brought tears to my eyes. I turned my 20th birthday there and it felt like a rite of passage.

It is a powerful place and I realized first hand how that place somehow connects us to the eternal. It gave me goosebumps standing there and I felt changed by it. I realized how much a part of the universe we are. Amazing place.

I look forward to what research reveals. I ran across an article not long ago that was documenting the existence of other sites/constructions below ground that they will be following up on there in the close vicinity of the circle.

Hi Casper, I read something about this last week.
"When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth"
